Condition Report
Cover - the finial has been broken and re-attached, there has been some general restoration work to cover the branch and leaves to hide this repair and make the colour consistent. To the rim, there is evidence of restoration work to a small section of the edge, probably to restore a chip (approximately 1.2cm wide). Around this restored chip, there is evidence of re-painting to approximately one-third of the underside of the cover. This restoration has been done to a good standard, but there are some areas of the underside of cover where this re-painting has now flaked away.
Coffee pot body - There is a fine stress crack that is noticeable to one side of the coffee pot's spout, at the junction of where the spout meets the body. This stress crack creeps around to cover approximately one half of this lower section of the spout. Likewise to the spout, there is a short, jagged and slightly discoloured V-shaped crack to the upper portion of the spout, near the tip. The foot rim has several nibbles, although most of these appear to be manufacturing flaws.
Beyond that, the coffee pot is generally in a good condition, with just some signs of general use/wear in the forms of light scratches to the exterior of the body. Please see additional images.
