Two Meissen monkey band figures of singers, and one other monkey band figure attributed to Meissen

Two Meissen monkey band figures after J J Kaendler, each modelled as seated singers with open score books, one circa 1820 and the other probably 1880, underglaze blue crossed sword marks to the unglazed bases; sold together with another similar monkey band figure, probably Meissen but unmarked, of a bagpipe player, unmarked, tallest 15cm high (3)

Condition Report

Meissen singer, circa 1820 (green base) - One arm fully restored, the other with just the lower part restored and a small chip to the reverse white section of the sleeve. Nibbles around the base. Small flake to one edge of her green coat.

Meissen singer, circa 1880 - Outstretched hand restored. Small nibbles around the base.


Bagpipe player (please note this is possibly French not Meissen) - top of bagpipe broken and re-attached. Further good restoration - possibly previously broken at the mid-section of the waist and also to the hat.
