an example of a "non-ordnance pattern" with an oak grip, plain quills and pommel and engraved flourishes to the quillion block, with Hoy's stamps to either side of the blade,

The Tudor rose on blade = the 'Rose & Crown' of William Hoy, free of the London Cutlers' Company on 30 October 1686.
