After Thomas Blinks (1860-1912) The Ferry, Published by the Berlin photographic company, 133 New Bond Street, London, 42 x 59cm (SH) (frames 66 x 83cm) together with a further two prints of hunting scenes after the same hand (3). Notes: The Ferry by Thomas Blinks was exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1898. It is an unusual composition and a similar trip on a flat bottomed craft by the York and Ainsty Hunt in 1878 ended in disaster when the boat capized and four people were drowned. Potential hunts depicted in this scene could be the South Notts Hunt crossing the River Trent or the Wheatland crossing the River Severn.
