Brown Bess style flintlock musket, early 19th century

A Brown Bess style flintlock musket, early 19th century, .75 calibre, with Type 1 India pattern lockplate but four ramrod pipes, lockplate signed D. Egg (Durs Egg), King's Proof mark and other markings to barrels, no visible ordnance markings to lockplate, with brass fittings and an oval plate marked '15' to the stock, barrel length 39", ramrod missing, overall length 54.5"; sold together with Brown Bess socket bayonet (bayonet mishapen) (2)

Condition Report

Very dirty and needs cleaning. Missing ramrod. Crack to the underside of the stock just before the first ramrod and chamber, further crack to one side of the stock near the fore-end of the barrel. Several scratches, dings and dents to the stock.

The bayonet was incorrectly fitted onto the flintlock and is mishappen (will not fit on the correct way)
