Belgian percussion pistol, 19th century

A Belgian percussion pocket pistol
mid-19th century
with a turn-off, 6cm barrel numbered 562 and stamped with E/LG (Liege) proof marks, concealed trigger, engraved foliate frame and a walnut bag butt with hinged cap,
17cm overall length

Sold as an exempt item under Section 58 (2) of the 1968 Firearms Act, to be held as a curiosity or ornament.

Condition Report
Hammer holds at half and full cock and the trigger release cleanly. There is a chip to the lower end of the butt and a small chip where it meets the frame. Some wear to the tip of the barrel, otherwise generally in fair condition.
