Coalport jardiniere or cache pot, circa 1860

A good quality Coalport jardiniere or cache pot, circa 1860, the pink ground painted by William Cook with a panel of flowers and fruit, including hydrangea, roses, peaches, strawberries and damons, opposed by a further panel of frolicking putto by Abraham, both panels enclosed by raised gilt foliate borders, CSN ampersand mark in gilt, 17cm high, diameter including handles 25cm

Provenance: Private Collection. Purchased in 1968 from the estate of Bertie Wake.

Condition Report

Good condition with no damages or repairs. There is some slight colour variation in the pink ground and a few small spots of wear/scratches to the pink ground. The cupid panel has a few small scratches. There is some minor wear in patches to the gilt dentil rim. The centre of the interior shows some surface scratches and signs of use. Rings well tapped.
