Pair of Burmantofts faience toad spoon warmers, circa 1885-90

A pair of Burmantofts faience grotesque spoon warmers in the form of toads, circa 1885-90, pale ochre or yellow glaze, impressed factory monogram, impressed with numbers 259 and 451, 14.5cm high (2) (one a.f)

Condition Report

Toad 1 - Crack to the mouth area. Typical glaze crazing throughout. One minute glaze flake to the rim of the mouth and a couple of others to the spots on the body and one eye ridge. No further damages or any restoration.

Toad 2 - Two large body cracks. One amateur covered chip to a foot.
