An 18th century English enamel patch box, together with other 20th century examples

A small 18th century Bilston enamel patch box box, circa 1780, the blue ground decorated in white with a pair of doves and love hearts and the inscription 'Remember the Giver', the interior cover fitted with a mirror, 4cm wide; together with six further contemporary enamel and porcelain boxes, including two Bilston and Battersea enamels Halcyon Days egg-shaped trinket boxes, a Crummles 'frog' box and small Limoges porcelain box (7)

Condition Report

18th century box - cracks and losses to the enamel - notably to the interior and right-hand side of the exterior. There is a less noticeable spider crack and a small patch of enamel loss, both to the cover.
