A Second World War German Wehrmacht photograph album, dated 1941, neatly arranged chronologically by a Senior Private in the Pioneers, the black cover with embossed silver stahlelm and 'Erinngungen' (Memories), containing around 141 black and white photographs and some postcards, all captioned with some small illustrations, photographs include Memorial Day 16th March, 1941, with small portraits of Richthofen and Helmut Wick, a parade in Heidelberg cemetery, soldiers visiting animals in Heidelberg Zoo, family at Easter, group portraits titled 'Last Day in the Hospital', with other soldiers, album size 32cm x 22.5cm; a postcard of Mainz-Kastel, related to an apparent short move to Pioner-Ersatz Bataillion 33 Genesden-Kompanie, and 9th Kompanie May - June 1941, an another as a Festungs-Nachrichten-Baustofflager Sonderkommando at Siegburg Prison, presumably using forced labour to serve fortress building, 12th June 1941 - 28th June 1941, and others including bomb damage, etc (noted as being album number 7 to front and rear cover)
