A 'Brown Bess' India pattern (Type Two) flintlock musket, 0.75 calibre
with 38.5" barrel, marked with crown over GR and 'Tower' to the lockplate, with a dark walnut stock, brass buttplate and trigger guard and three ramrod pipes, indistinct proof/view marks to the top of the barrel, further impressed storekeeper's stamp to the left-hand side of the stock '80(?)' above W/D arrow, overall length 139cm (trigger guard ill-fitting and probably replaced, with only one screw rather than two)
Section 58(2), obsolete calibre and can be owned without a license.
