Provenance: Purchased by the vendor's grandfather in 1918 from H.R. Thompson Fine Art, Tunstall, original receipt dated 24 December 1918

Condition Report
The painting is an oil on canvas, framed without glazing. The canvas has good tension and appears in overall good condition, no obvious losses, holes or tears. The paint surface appears generally well preserved, surface level craquelure is present but there is no obvious paint loss or deterioration. Some surface dirt present. The frame has sound joints, there is general wear and tear and a crack upper right.
