Anglo-Zulu War. A South Africa 1877-79 medal with a later ribbon and clasp altered to say '1878-79', engraved naming to "1027 PTE. C. PARKER 80TH FOOT" in upright capitals.

Private Charles Parker, 80th Regiment of Foot (Staffordshire Volunteers), confirmed on medal rolls and listed as being engaged against the Zulus in 1879. Parker later served in the Second Egyptian War, 1882, with the 1st Battalion South Staffordshire Regiment.
