A Japanese Imari vase by Kayama, Meiji era, of globular form with short trumpet rim, decorated with kirin in flight amid clouds against an iron red wave ground, six-character mark to the underside 大日本香山製 (Dai Nihon Kayama Sei), 18cm high.

Very small rim chip with associated hairline to the rim and a further hairline to the rim.
