Together with a 19th century watercolour of the Forum Romana in Rome, with the Collosseum visible at the background, indistinctly signed bottom right, mounted and framed. Measurements 14.5 x 29 cm, a 19th Century watercolour of Kenilworth Castle ruins, indistinctly signed bottom left, mounted and framed. Measurements 25.9 x 42.6 cm and a 19th Century watercolour, Grouse in flight over a moor, mounted and framed. Measurements 15.8 x 14.2 cm.

William Leighton Leach (1804-1883) RI was a Scottish landscape watercolour painter and illustrator. Leach learned to draw with David MacNee, starting his career as a scene painter for the Theatre Royal in Glasgow and Queens Theatre in London. After moving to London he received lessons from Copley Fielding and befriended fellow artists David Robs and Clarkson Stanfield. He travelled across the Continent and completed a painting tour with Hungarian painter Miklos Barabas. Leach was elected to the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours and served as Vice Principal. He was appointed as Drawing Master to Queen Victoria and served the royal family for 22 years.
