Paul Martinez-Frias was born in 1929 to a British mother and Spanish father, he spent much of his early years divided between the UK and Spain. In 1975 he relocated to Wales and has been active in the country every since. Frias is still a resident artist at the Spectrum Gallery in Machynlleth.
