Second World War German M40 combat helmet
manufactured by Eisenhuttenwerke Thale (stamped ET64), with remnants of white paint and signs of the previous decal to the left-hand side, complete with an eight-fingered leather liner stamped '57', with a brown leather chinstrap and a faintly inscribed owner's name still visible to the interior.
