Footnote:Footnote: A label on reverse wears the name Otto Van Veen (Octavio van Veen or Otto Vaenius), born 1556 - died 1629. He was a humanist painter and engraver from Leiden, The Netherlands and active in the Low Countries, Antwerp, Rome, and present at the courts of Bavaria and Austria. This portrait is likely to be a 17th century copy of a 16th century obituary portrait of Joachim Camerarius (1500-1574), a German Scholar from Leipzig.
