A Chinese cinnabar lacquer ingot form box and cover on a carved hardwood stand, early Qing Dynasty, the cover with a central cartouche carved in relief showing a scene of figures in landscapes, each side of the base and cover with scenes of deer in landscapes enclosed within scrolling cartouches and rectangular quatrefoil panels, surrounded by deeply carved foliate detailing, each rim with geometric scroll border, the carved hardwood stand with ruyi and floral pattern detail, 25cm high on stand x 30cm length x 22cm at widest point
