WW1 Medal trio and a Special Constabulary Long Service Medal

A First World War medal group of 1914-15 Star [10449 PTE. M. SEARLE., D. OF. CORN. L.I], British War Medal and Victory Medal [10449 PTE. M. SEARLE D.C.L.I] together with a George VI Special Constabulary Long Service Medal with Long Service 1949 clasp, named to 'Marwood Searle', with original box numbered '350 - Cornwall' (4)

Notes: Marwood Searle was born in Lanivet, Cornwall in 1895 and attested, aged 19, on 12th August 1914. After hostilities ceased, Searle transferred into the 26th Battalion Royal Welsh Fusiliers [57535] with the rank of Lance Corporal before being demobilised in Shrewsbury in February 1919. His records show he was posted overseas in France from 1st May 1915, including Abbeville and Rouen in 1918.
