Footnote:Mary McCrossan (1864-1934) was a British painter from Liverpool. She attended the Liverpool School of Art and went on to the Academie Delacluze Paris to study under Julius Olsson. She specialised in landscapes and was praised for watercolours. She relocated to St. Ives and maintained a studio there, creating many paintings of the local area. She exhibited in the UK, including at the Royal Academy and Royal Institution in Liverpool as was elected to the Royal Society of British Artists.
