Condition Report

The painting is an oil on board, framed without glazing. The board has a pushpin sized hole in the top right corner as well as some minor surface holes on the verso side including a small surface piece which has come away from the right bottom corner on the verso. There is a 4cm horizontal split to the bottom right corner. The board does not sit completely comfortably in the frame- with some gap to the right side. There is damage to the frame upper right edge. There is some minor paint loss horizontally to the bottom centre and right edge. Some minor paint surface touch ups present to the background and chin. There is evidence for a plaque on the centre front which has been removed sometime prior. Please refer to additional images uploaded to the catalogue.
