A Chinese export famille rose baluster jar and cover, Qing Dynasty, 18thcentury, decorated with a wide band of blossoming peony and Asiatic pheasant beneath a black bordered spearhead shoulder containing famille rose flowers and iron red whorls, the pattern repeated on the domed cover and finial, the lower section with a pink and yellow alternating lappet band, underglaze blue six character Yongzheng mark within a concentric blue circle, 41cm high
