An ebony and abalone shell mounted singing bird box, the ebonised box with abalone shell scrolling inlaid borders surrounding painted birds and flowers, the hinged oval aperture opening to carved gilt metal grille revealing singing feathered bird with green and red iridescent plumage, with two keys (at fault)

Condition Report
Splits and losses to mounts throughout, oval cover of hinged cover is detached, bird does move and 'sing' but mechanism does not fully function- it does not close properly after completion but instead needs placing down manually, general wear throughout and in need of restoration, refer to images
