SHREWSBURY FLOWER SHOW POSTER 1911, printed in full colour, nearly 7 feet long. 37th Great Floral Fete which will be held on Wednesday and Thursday August 23 & 24 1911 in the beautiful grounds of the Quarry, Shrewsbury. Foremost among the attractions of this gigantic fete is the magnificent Flower Show, which is universally allowed to be the Grandest Display seen in Great Britain, and far exceeding in magnitude any other show. Including a gorgeous display of the finest specimens of plants, and the grandest exhibition of fruit. Other attractions include a series of military concerts, balloon ascents, acrobats, clowns, tight wire acts and horse leaping.
On both days the events conclude with a Firework Display including Grand Monstre royal portraits in fire, and a display 'on a scale of grandeur only to be seen at this event'.
