Footnote:

Roy Turner Durrant (1925-1998) was a British abstract artist from Suffolk. His early work was almost Neo-Romantic, which later developed into more abstract style influenced by his associate Keith Vaughn. Following the Second World War he studied at the Camberwell College of Arts under John Minton and then ran the Heffer Gallery in Cambridge until the mid 1970s. He remained based in East Anglia and much of his work was inspired by the local landscape.
